A minor boy died while four others were injured in different road accidents across the valley Friday, police said.
“In Ganderbal, an unknown motorcycle hit and injured a pedestrian identified as Shahnawaz Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Rasool Dar resident of Shalbugh at Dar Mohlla Shalibugh, Shadipora. The injured was shifted to JVC Hospital Srinagar for treatment,” police said in a statement.
“In Srinagar, an unknown Maruti van hit and injured a minor boy Faiq Firdous Hakeem son of Firdous Ahmad resident of Bilalabad Qamarwari near Hilal Abad Ibrahim Masjid Qamarwari. The injured boy was shifted to SKIMS Soura where he succumbed to his injuries.”
Meanwhile, an Alto car bearing registration number JK09-6526 hit and injured a boy identified as Ifayat Ahmad Sofi son of Mohammad Yaseen resident of Illahi Bagh near P.C Depot Barthana. The injured was shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for treatment.
In Islamabad, a Motorcycle bearing registration number JK03-5979 collided with a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK03-4655 on NHW near Pazalpora, Bijbehara, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist. The injured was shifted to Bone and Joints Hospital Srinagar for treatment.
“In Awantipora, an unknown vehicle hit and injured an unknown lady pedestrian (mentally unsound) at Awantipora. The injured lady was shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for treatment.”
