SRINAGAR: Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Moulvi Mohammad Umar Farooq has called for restraint and diplomatic engagement following an attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, expressing concern over the reported loss of life and injuries.
In a post on X, Mirwaiz warned that the attack risked deepening civilian suffering and widening the ongoing regional crisis.
He urged all sides to pursue a fair resolution through dialogue and diplomacy, stressing the need to prevent further escalation and loss of life.
The statement came after Saudi Arabia said on Saturday that at least 12 people had been killed and more than 300 wounded in an attack on the airport near Riyadh, which it attributed to Yemen’s Houthi rebels.
