SRINAGAR: The High Court of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh has ordered the compulsory retirement of Mahmud Anwar Alnasir, a Civil Judge (Senior Division) currently posted as Sub-Judge Uri, at the age of 58.
According to an order issued by the office of the Registrar General, the decision follows a recommendation made by the High Court’s Full Court at a meeting held recently.
Pending approval of the compulsory retirement by the competent authority, Alnasir will remain attached to the office of the Registrar Judicial, Srinagar, the order stated.
Meanwhile, the Sub-Judge/Special Mobile Magistrate, Baramulla, has been assigned additional charge of Sub-Judge Uri until further orders.
The officer will hold court at both locations in accordance with a roster to be prepared by the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Baramulla.
