Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tuesday addressed a public rally at Leh in Jammu and Kashmir on his second visit to the state in just over a month.
“We will bring saffron revolution in Jammu and Kashmir”, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, adding it was kesar (the spice) of the state he was talking about.
Modi announced that his government will fund four roads in J&K at a cost of Rs 8000 crores.
He raised the slogan of ‘3 Ps’ saying, “The three Ps – Prakash (energy), Paryavaran (environment), Paryatan (tourism)- can help improve the region and the whole country.”
Modi said that Indian government has proposed 83 projects in this year’s budget. He also highlighted the pashmina manufacturing and designing.
“Development should be the one which can bring change in the lives of the common man and energy plays an important role in that,” PM said he added that the power project which was inaugurated today will eradicate the darkness. “We have to connect all regions of the country by the means of roadways, railways, elctricity grid and telecommunication,” Modi said.
“There was a time when a Prime Minister never used to visit Kashmir for years and years, I have come twice in 2 months only because of your love,” Mosi said. He promised to do everything for the development of J&K. “I will do whatever I could for the development of this region and the whole state”.
Modi said, “I understand the problems people face here, I also understand the strengths of the people here, I am very fortunate to have worked for the Party in Jammu & Kashmir. I used to visit the state often”.
“I will repay the love and respect that you have showered upon me with interest. I will do all I can for the development of this region,” Modi said.
The PM thanked the huge gathering and said, “After a long time Leh Ladhak must have seen so much crowd for the first time”.
Modi said that his government is committed to the development of Jammu and Kashmir. “We are committed to the development of J&K, Centre will work shoulder to shoulder with J&K for the state’s development.”
Modi said that the region of Ladakh has a great capacity for solar energy so Centre has allocated especial funds for that purpose.
