Chief Minister Ms Mehbooba Mufti Saturday morning landed at Srinagar International Airport and straightaway drove to the Shrine of Sheikh Noor-u-din Noorani RA in Charar-e-Sharif in Budgam district.
Ms Mehbooba was accompanied by Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura, Vice chairman Wakf board Peer Mohammad Hussain, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Khan and other top government officials.
Reports said that Mehbooba prayed for the lasting peace in Kashmir and inspected the shrine complex and announced release of Rs 2.5 crore for completing the works and upgrading facilities for the devotees.
