Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, late Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, has been laid to rest this evening.
Mufti, who breathed his last in AIIMS at New Delhi earl this morning, was flown to Srinagar early this afternoon.
His body was taken to his Gupkar residence after which his funeral prayers were held at SK Cricket stadium here. His body was driven to his native town of Bijbehara.
He was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard around 06: 45 pm.
