Ridiculing the statement of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) patron Mufti Muhammad Sayeed’s that he will solve Kashmir issue if given 40 seats, National Conference Provincial president Nasir Aslam Wani on Thursday said that if ever they get 40 seats (which people will never let them) we can only foresee death and destruction.

“With 16 seats they divided the state, if there is anything that PDP or its leaders cannot be faulted for, it is the fact that they have no dearth of cunning and tricks in their kitty” Wani said adding, their latest plea to the people about 40 seat mandate in 2014 is one clear cut example. “They are trying to cash in and trade on the false solution to the Kashmir imbroglio.”

According to a statement issued to GNS, Nasir asked PDP patron not to deprive the people of the state with his so called ‘final solution’. “Let us all know if you have anything else stored except deception, slur and selling false dreams,” Nasir said, adding, “Our chief Minister Omar Abdullah is on record saying that if anyone has a better solution than restoration of Autonomy we can discuss it. I fail to understand why they are so shy to share it with us or the people of the Jammu and Kashmir. If you still have vision and a road map why don’t you present that in the state assembly?”

“You and your senior leaders could make an exception by being present in the State Assembly next time it is convened and enlighten all of us about the great vision of your party,” Wani added.

While reiterating that Autonomy is the only viable and getable solution, NC Provincial Chief said the Autonomy report and the resolution adopted by the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly represents the true aspiration of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, and “it has approval of a 2/3rd majority of the State’s legislature which makes it the only constitutionally approved document
