The Muslim League chairman Mushtaq-ul-Islam who was released Friday pledged to unite the “real resistance leaders after undertaking segregation cum purification drive in the separatist camp.”
Talking to a local news agency, KNS, after his release from the Central Jail Srinagar, Mushtaq claimed, “those faces will be exposed who sabotaged the freedom movement in the disguise of being the separatist leaders. The real separatists will be identified and facilitated to lead from the front,” he resolved.
He further maintained that a contact programme with the people of Kashmir shall be initiated at the grass root level and stability in the ‘ongoing struggle’ shall be stressed and worked for with great zeal and zest. “The main motive for all of us is to free Kashmir from Indian oppression,” said Mushtaq-ul-Islam, who was bailed out after a three years of detention.
The party spokesman while talking to KNS said that the detained Muslim League chief was behind the bars under PSA which was slapped against him for the for 11th time.
Pertinently Mushtaq was arrested after the 2010 uprising and was shifted to Srinagar’s central Jail. Mushtaq-ul-Islam expressed serious concern over the living condition of Kashmiri inmates who are lodged in different jails outside Valley. “There health is deteriorated but the living condition in Srinagar jails is relatively good than the jails outside the valley,” he added.
Talking to KNS immediately after his release Muslim League chief said that he was bailed out for more than 17 times and the order of detention under PSA against him was quashed several times in the past.
The last PSA against me was due to the participation in Lal Chowk Chalo protest on Eid-ul-fitr of 2010.”
