Awami Ittihaad Party AIP president Er Rashid while asking people to vote for his candidates in Wachi, Amirakadal and Sonawar has cautioned people against the “notorious designs” of NC, PDP and Congress. While addressing a series public meetings at Imam Shahab, Mantaribugh, Harmeen, Raj Bagh , Natipora and other places, he condemned PDP, Congress, NC for the arranged blame game over Afzal Guru’s killing.
Rasheed Said “ One wonders how does PDP, NC and Congress dare to even name Afzal Guru in their election campaign, as everybody knows these three parties acted as collaborators by facilitating the murder of Afzal Guru. Who Kashmiri can forget the black day of 28th September 2011 when Ghulam Nabi Azad, Mufti Syed, Saif ul Din Soz and Omar Abdullah crossed all limits of morality and responsibility to sabotage our resolution in the State assembly seeking clemency for Afzal Guru. On that very day all these state actors did everything to humiliate me in the assembly and made it sure that resolution on Afzal Guru fails. These so called tall leaders had not even the moral courage to speak even a single word infavor of the resolution but at the behest of their masters in New Delhi maintained criminal silence on the floor of the house. They have no right to talk, discuss or even name Afzal Guru and time yet again proved that these agents of New Delhi can do anything to humiliate and disgrace Kashmiris and thus fulfil the ill designs and illogic ambitions of New Delhi. However, they seem to have treated Kashmiris so stupid that they intend to befool them and get rewarded even for the crimes for which these parties should not get even a place for their burial in Kashmir ”.
He further added that it is high time for the people of the state to introspect and find out how political parties and individuals represented them in and outside assembly during last six years. Common Kashmiris can’t simply run away from their responsibilities by crying injustice and blaming NC, PDP and Congress for their miseries by debating in coffee shops, village shops, mosques and drawing rooms but at the same time getting themselves stabbed by voting to these parties despite having better alternatives. Let people of Kashmir decide who is sincere in carrying forward their political aspirations or otherwise they would be blamed themselves for all their miseries.
