Traffic Police have issued a new schedule of traffic on Sonamarg-Drass road in view of the bad condition of road at Zojila Axis.
According to an official statement, Superintendent of police (Traffic Kashmir-Rural) said, “the traffic from Drass to Sonamarg shall be allowed on odd days while traffic from Sonamarg to Drass will be allowed on even days. The odd days include 1, 3, 5, 7, while even days include 2, 4, 6, he said.”
The superintendent further said, for down traffic, the cut off at Drass shall be 10 AM and Minimart at 11 AM. For up traffic, cut off at Sonamarg shall be 10 AM.
The official further stated that the Light Motor Vehicles will be allowed to move first followed by vehicles of forces and then heavy civil vehicles would be allowed to go through.
