Islamic students League Wednesday said that the arrest spree of Kashmiri Youth at hands of NIA in garb of Udhampur attack by NIA in Jammu Kashmir as “interfering in State affairs unconstitutionally”. “Scores of youth and elderly persons are being called to various police stations where they are threatened and humiliated by the said agency,” the ISL statement said.

“So far more than two dozen people have been arrested and shifted to out of Jammu and Kashmir for so called investigations which have resulted in great trauma to their families. The situation demands united stand from pro-resistance camp,” the statement said.

The ISL spokesperson paid glowing tributes to two slain militants: Showkat Ahmed Lone of Lelhar Pulwama and Gulzar Ahmed Butt and civilian Bilal Ahmed Butt of Malangpora, Pulwama who was killed in forces firing.

Condemning the brutal use of force against the people, the spokesperson termed this as “worst kind of state terrorism and hailed the courage of people and freedom fighters”.

The statement also condoled the Karnah families whose members died in a road accident on Tuesday evening.
