Independent legislator Engineer Rashid has termed the news reports wherein it was mentioned that he has been invited by Pakistan High Commissioner for a meeting in New Delhi as “baseless and false”.
Talking to Kashmir Life, Rashid said, “I didn’t receive any such invitation nor was I contacted by anyone. These are just rumours.”
When asked about the media reports on the issue, he termed it “a handiwork of the same people who attacked me yesterday. They want to give an impression that I am close to the Pakistan Government.”
This, he said, will become a ground for many such communal elements to attack me.
