Minister of State for Health, Shabir Ahmed Khan today informed the House that no person has been engaged on Hospital Development Fund (HDF) by Principal, medical college, Srinagar/Director, Health services, Kashmir.

The Minister was replying to a question by Mohammad Ashraf Mir in the House. He further informed that as a temporary measure to run the hospital affairs smoothly and in the interest of patient care, engagements have been made in associated hospitals of medical college, Srinagar and health institutions of the health services, Kashmir on the recommendations of concerned Chairman (MLA) Rogi Kalyarn Simiti and there is prescribed category for such engagements.

While replying to another question by Master Noor Hussain, the Minister said that one PHC is functioning at Purmandal with a sanctioned strength of 19 posts. He said that the supply of medicines to the same is being made as per the work load / norms within the budgetary provision.

Dr Bashir Ahmad Veeri, Asgar Ali, Javid Rana, Syed Rafiq Shah, Ghulam Nabi Monga and Ravinder Sharma also raised supplementaries.
