Minister of state for revenue and rehabilitation, Ajaz Ahmed Khan on Monday said that government has no proposal under consideration for creating a separate division for Ladakh region.
“It is a fact that Ladakh is geographically a large area of the state and during winter season, the roads leading to Kargil and Leh normally remain closed for traffic due to heavy snow fall and landslides,” he replied to a question by T Namgyal in a House today.
He said keeping in view the topography and geography of the area, the state government has established hill development councils in the region to prepare the developmental plans and oversee their implementations.
