Parts of old city Wednesday protested against the recently implemented NFSA with the protestors demanding withdrawal of the order immediately.

Since early morning, protestors blocked the main road at Ranger Stop in Naqshband Sahib area of old city demanding amendments to the Law. They raised slogans like “Zulm Band Karo” and “Governor ki Gunda Gardi Nahin Chali Gi”.

“The governor wants to starve Kashmiris by such inhuman laws. We eat rice and it is our staple food,” the protestors alleged.

The locals alleged that they are being provided only 3 kg Rice and 2 kg Atta per head at the ration store “which is unacceptable.”
