Chairperson Kashmir Tehreek-e- Khawatein Zamrooda Habib Tuesday said that “our budding youngsters” are being killed under a well planned strategy by armed forces in which “our local police” are also lending them a helping hand.

“Our intellect is being made a target which became evident in Sunday’s killings, Shaista was a PG Student while Danish was a B tech student of IUST,” Zamrooda said.

Terming armed forces as “goons” and “murderers”, Zamrooda castigated the army for allegedly killing Shaista and Danish. Both Shaista and Danish were killed in forces action in Pulwama on Sunday.

Taking to Kashmir Life, Zamrooda said that under the garb of AFSPA armed forces enjoy impunity for committing any atrocities against the civilian population for which they seldom get punished.

Shaista, a young teenage girl who was in home and Danish, a teenage boy playing cricket were killed by forces in Lelhar area of Pulwama dstrict near the encounter site.

On JNU row, Zamrooda said that every Kashmiri is being seen as a terrorist for raising their voices.

Raising slogans of ‘Sarkari Dashatgardi Band Karo’ and ‘Talibilmuon KA Qatili Aam Band Karo’, Zamrooda said that thorough inquiry should be made into the killings.
