SRINAGAR: A 23-year-old man was killed and three others injured after a tipper collided with an electric auto-rickshaw at Chajjla in the Mankote area of Mendhar subdivision in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Sunday.
The accident occurred when a tipper bearing registration number JK03P-4262 collided with an E-auto (JK12E-0749), leaving all four occupants of the three-wheeler seriously injured.
The injured were immediately shifted to Sub-District Hospital Mendhar by 108 ambulance services, where they were provided emergency medical treatment. After preliminary treatment and necessary investigations, all four were referred to Government Medical College (GMC), Rajouri, for specialised treatment.
However, one of the injured, identified as Rehiem (23), a resident of Nar Mankote, succumbed to his injuries while being shifted to GMC Rajouri.
The three other injured have been identified as Mohd Shabr, Irfan Ahmed and Mohd Mahroof. They are undergoing treatment at GMC Rajouri.
