Reacting to the reports of government spending crores for the protection of separatist leaders, there are only eight person in the pro-freedom camp to whom security is being provided, spokesman Huriyat (M) said.
Talking to KNS, Shahid-ul-Islam said there are a total number of eight separatist leaders to which the government in Jammu and Kashmir has issued a security cover. “The government in the recent past has made a false revelation that it is spending crores of rupees for the security of the Huriyat leaders and that there are a total number of 1476 separatists which come under this category. If government is confident about the facts, they should make the names of these persons public,” Shahid told KNS.
He added that in the entire separatist camp, there are in total eight persons to whom the security cover has been issued. “It is Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Professor Abdul Gani Bhat, Abas Ansari, Bilal Gani Lone, Aaga Syed Hassan, Faz-ul-Haq Qureshi, Saleem Geeelani and myself,” Shahid-ul-Islam told KNS.
He maintained further that the government must make the names and details of 1476 pubic to which it claims is providing the ‘security cover and spending crores.’
