SRINAGAR: A day after Mehbooba Mufti spoke at her first press conference since being released from 14 months of detention, the office of the Peoples Democratic Party in Jammu was allegedly attacked on Saturday by “right-wingers”.

Taking to social networking site Twitter, PDP leader Firdous Tak wrote: “Jammu office of  @jkpdp attacked just now. Few right wingers barged inside and even physically assaulted me and @ParvezWaffa.”

Reacting on the incident PDP in a tweet said, “This shows the desperation of those claiming to be champions of  ‘democracy’. Such acts will further strengthen our resolve to fight for the larger interests of our people. Will @JmuKmrPolice @mukesh_ips_jk  act against the hooligans?”
