Mirwaiz-Umar-FarooqCongratulating people of Pakistan on the eve of their Independence Day, the chairman APHC (m) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq prayed for the peace, progress, economic stability and political stability of Pakistan.

Terming the political, moral and diplomatic support of Pakistan for Kashmir cause since last seven decades as “matchless and exemplary”, Mirwaiz, according to an amalgam statement, stated, “the efforts of Pakistan to resolve Kashmir dispute, the main cause of confrontation between India and Pakistan, were of historical importance.”

“The time has come that India realizes the fact that Kashmir issue was a living reality and that India should shun its intransigence to bring peace and stability to South Asia,” Mirwaiz said. “India should stop putting hurdles in a meaningful dialogue between the main three stake holders to the dispute i.e. India, Pakistan and the people of Kashmir so that a just and acceptable resolution of this dispute could be found in accordance with wishes and aspirations of the people of Kashmir.”

Meanwhile, senior Hurriyat leader, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza Thursday visited Padgampora, Awantipora to condole the death of 28 year old Bilal Ahmad Bhat who was killed in a recent shoot out by the forces there.

Meanwhile, APHC (m) also condemned the grenade attack in Shopian early Thursday during which scores of people got injured and said that such acts of cowardice were hurting the sentiments of Muslims and were highly deplorable.
