Three time MLA Zahoor A Mir has received an invitation for taking oath of office, reports from Jammu said.
Mir had succeeded his father Abdul Aziz Mir who was killed soon after getting electing as MLA in 2002. Zahoor won the by-election and also managed his victory in 2008 and 2014. Zahoor is a close relative of lawmaker and former minister Ghulam Hassan Mir.
It was not immediately known if he would be a minister of state or a cabinet minister. A resident of Kondibal, Mir is deeply entrenched in the periphery of Pampore but lacks any support base in the main town. Nothing much is known aboyt his academic capabilities.
