SRINAGAR: Paras Health Srinagar will organise a free multispeciality health camp on August 23, offering residents complimentary consultations with specialists across more than a dozen medical disciplines.
The camp will be held from 10 am to 3 pm at Paras Health, Durganag, Dalgate Bridge, Munshi Bagh, Srinagar.
According to the organisers, the initiative is aimed at promoting preventive healthcare, early detection and timely medical consultation. Patients will be able to seek advice from specialists in internal medicine, cardiology, orthopaedics, medical and surgical oncology, obstetrics and gynaecology, gastro sciences, neurology, neurosurgery, pulmonology, nephrology, urology and paediatrics.
Besides free OPD consultations, participants will also be able to avail complimentary blood pressure and blood sugar tests. The hospital has announced a 20 per cent discount on laboratory and radiology services for those attending the camp.
Facility Director, Paras Health Srinagar, Dr Murtuza Haibib, said the initiative was intended to make specialist medical advice more accessible to people.
He said the camp would provide residents an opportunity to consult specialists, undergo basic health screenings and understand the importance of early diagnosis and preventive care.
Dr Shafat Ahmad Kenu of Paras Health Srinagar said the camp would bring specialists from different fields closer to the community and provide people an opportunity to seek advice on cardiac, orthopaedic, neurological, gastrointestinal, respiratory, renal, urological, oncological, women’s and children’s health concerns.
The specialist panel at the camp will include Dr Mohsin Raj Mantoo, Consultant, Interventional Cardiology; Dr Yawar Haider, Consultant, Orthopaedics; Dr Naeem Firdous Dar, Principal Consultant, Pulmonology; Saqib Ahmad Shah, Consultant, Medical and Hemato-Oncology; Dr Shabnam Bashir, Director, Surgical Oncology; Dr Hamza Wani, Associate Director, Surgical Gastroenterology and GI & Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery; and Dr Misba Hul Bashir Masoodi, Consultant, Gastroenterology.
The panel will also include Dr Rahil Rafiq and Dr Irfan Hussain Bhat, both consultants in neurosurgery; Dr Toufeeq Ahmad Mir, Senior Consultant, Neurology; Dr Rouf Hussain Tak, Principal Consultant, Internal Medicine and Rheumatology; Dr Sadia Lanker, Senior Consultant, Obstetrics and Gynaecology; Dr Sarafaraz Ahmad Kasana, Associate Consultant, Paediatrics and Gynaecology; Dr Muzzamil A.
