A Leading Kashmiri poet and social worker Mohammed Munawar Parwana joined PDP along with his well wishers at a function at his Gundi Qaiser residence in Bandipora district. The function was attended by several local PDP leaders including MLA Nizamudin Bhat senior party leader.

As per a statement Bhat while welcoming Parwana in the party fold, said “Munawar’s joining the party will further strengthen the building popular wave in favour of PDP which he said will sweep in entire Jammu & Kashmir state” and added, “People have realized the strong alternative was an imperative to get the state out of present ‘morace’ and the instability caused by the misdeeds of N C and its leadership.”

Sirajudin Khan, retired subedar major Alam Khan and dozens other Gujjar leaders also left their parties- NC and congress and joined PDP at a public meeting at Chanapal Chitti bandi Bandipore.
