A daily wager employee working with Power Development Department was electrocuted while he was fixing a broken High tension electric supply line in Limber village of Uri’s Boniyar Tehsil on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Fareed Ahmad Khan son of Habibullah Khan of Bimyar village. He was working with the department for past twenty years.
“The fateful incident has triggered outrage in the area and people are out on roads protesting against PDD authorities. “People have blocked Srinagar-Muzafarabad road and are demanding that District Commissioner Baramulla should visit the village,” local sources said.
