The state Congress chief Saif-Ud-din Soz while reacting to the imposition of governor’s rule in JK, said the PDP could have formed the government in JK but the party shut the doors to the Congress and opened channels with the BJP.

Talking to KNS, Soz said that Mufti Mohammad Sayeed could have formed the secular government with the support of Congress and other independents but PDP preferred to talk to BJP and not to the Congress

“We had in open offered our support to PDP to form the government so that the communal forces could have been kept at bay. Congress and PDP have no difference in ideologies and a stable and secular government could have been formed but PDP preferred otherwise,” Soz said.

He maintained further that people of the state is aware about every development and knows the stand taken by every party after the state elections.

“The matter is now in the peoples’ court. PDP could have nominated two more legislators so that all regions could have found representation.”
