CM Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday addressed an election rally at Kokernag. She was accompanied by party’s candidate for Islamabad parliamentary constituency and brother Tassaduq Mufti, Party’s chief spokesperson Dr Mehboob Baig, MLA Kokernag Ab Rahim Rather and other senior leaders.
While addressing the rally Mehbooba said that PDP has always worked for the dignity and honour of the common people.
She added that it is the PDP which has always worked for the development of the state. “PDP is the only party which tried in the past and is trying at present to maintain peace in the state and strengthen relations between India and Pakistan.” She appealed the public to vote for PDP if they want a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue.
On the occasion, Tassaduq said that he used to visit Daksum with his father late Mufti Muhammad Sayeed and was fascinated by the beauty of Daksum and Kokernag. He advised the people to save and preserve environment so that more and more tourists will visit the place.
Dr Mehbooba Baig said that NC and Congress have lost their ground in southern part of Kashmir and PDP is the only existing party on the ground.
Mehbooba while slamming the NC and Congress said, when they were in power, they didn’t do anything. What will they do now with empty hands, she questioned.
