The main accused in CET Scam and former BOPEE chairman Mushtaq Peer has been shifted to Srinagar’s Central Jail on Saturday for a judicial remand.

While confirming the news, the Crime Branch officer who is investigating the Scam, told Kashmir Life that as Peer’s custody in Crime Branch passed 15 days today, therefore he was sent to Central Jail.

“Crime Branch can’t keep him under custody for more than 15 days,” the official told Kashmir Life. “Therefore, he has been shifted to Central Jail for a judicial remand.”
