Advocate Ashok Pande has filed a PIL in the Allahabad High Court, Lucknow Bench as regards the recent process on way to get A R Masudi appointed as High Court Judge.
As per the PIL, A R Masudi was born in Islamabad district of Jammu and Kashmir and later came to Lucknow. As per article 370, many restrictions have been imposed on people from rest of India to settler or work in Kashmir. Right to equality demands that people from Kashmir shall also have similar restrictions and hence Mr Masudi shall not be appointed as High Court Judge from Lucknow Bench.
Mr Pande has said that in last many years no persons from SC, OBC and women category have been appointed from Lucknow bench of the High Court which is against Article 15 and has hence asked for appointment from these weaker sections of the society.
