Five persons were injured in different road accidents across Kashmir valley on Sunday, police said in a statement.

In Sopore, an Alto 800 (19A3EUA-61500903836) driven by Talib Ahmad Khan resident of Boniyar Uri hit a motorcycle driven by Irfan Ahmed Dar resident of Keema Bandipora at National Highway Hygam crossing, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist and pillion mate Aatif Nazir Dar resident of Batpora Pattan. Both the injured were shifted to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for treatment. Sopore police have registered a case in this regard.

In Kupwara, a Tavera vehicle (JK01/8067) driven by Khurshid Ahmad Sheikh resident of Trehgam hit and injured a pedestrian Ghulam Rasool resident of Tikker at Tikker. The injured was shifted to District Hospital Kupwara for treatment. Kupwara police registered a case in this regard.

In Budgam, a Tanker(JK16/3211) hit and injured a person Abdul Ahad Bhat resident of Nowpora on Srinagar-Gulmarg road at Kawoosa Khalisa in the jurisdiction of Police Station Magam. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Budgam police has registered a case in this regard.

In Ganderbal, an unknown vehicle hit and injured a person Abdul Rashid Bhat resident of Repora Lar at Lar Bypass. The injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for treatment. Ganderbal police has registered a case in this regard.

In a separate statement, police said two residential houses were damaged in two separate fire incidents in Srinagar and Baramulla.

Fire broke out in the residential house of Mohammad Ramzan Wani resident of Khaki Mohallah Habak in the jurisdiction of Police Station Nigeen Srinagar, resulting in damage to the house. Fire was brought under control with the help of fire tenders.

Meanwhile, fire broke out in the residential house of Bashir Ahmad Bhat resident of Kanlibagh in the jurisdiction of Police Station Baramulla, resulting in damage to the house. Fire was brought under control by fire tenders
