SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir arrested two gamblers and seized stake money from their possession in North Kashmir.
“Based on credible information about gambling activities, a police party from Police Post Delina, headed by DO Delina, raided Delina Ghat, leading to the arrest of two gamblers identified as Khazir Mohd Ganie, son of Gh Mohd, a resident of Jahama Baramulla, and Mushtaq Ahmed Wani, son of Bashir Ahmed, a resident of Rangwar Baramulla,” a police spokesperson in a statement said.
During the operation, stake money amounting to Rs 10,300 and playing cards were seized from their possession. “In this regard, FIR No. 52/2025 under Section 13 of the Gambling Act has been registered at Police Station Baramulla, and an investigation has been set into motion.”
