Jammu and Kashmir Police Friday arrested two persons in Ganderbal district. The duo is accused of carrying banned 1500 Codeine bottles.
A police official from Ganderbal district said that during naka checking, a police party of Kheer Bhawani headed by under the supervision of Dy SP headquarters Rameez raja tried to stop one Maruti car.
“The car was plying towards Ganderbal and the driver didn’t stop,” the official said, “we chased by the car and found 1500 Codeine bottles inside it.”
He added that the driver and his accomplice were arrested on the spot and a case has been registered following which investigations are under way.
