In its drive against the gamblers, J&K Police arrested five gamblers and recovered stake money of over five lakh from a gambling site, JKP spokesperson said Thursday late evening.
“A party comprising of police officials of Police Station Sherghari including SHO Mohammad Ishaq and headed by SDPO Shaheed Gunj Syed Yasir Qadri following a tip off raided a gambling place in Allochi Bagh area of the city and arrested five people while gambling. Stake money of Rs 540330 has been recovered from the gambling site,” the spokesperson said, “all the gamblers were taken into custody and a case has been registered against them.”
