A Special Police Officer (SPO) guarding the residence of National Conference (NC) leader in Dakhbanglow Islamabad district of south Kashmir was injured after his service rifle went off on Sunday.
An eyewitness said that the service rifle of the PSO identified as Jahangeer Ahmad went off accidentally, resulting in injuries to him. the policeman was guarding the residence of Bashir Ahmed Veeri Ex MLC National Conference in Dakhbanglow Islamabad.
Soon after the incident, the injured PSO was rushed to District Hospital Islamabad for the treatment and is said to be stable now.
