SRINAGAR: Power supply to several areas in north Kashmir will remain affected for six hours on August 24 due to ongoing works under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), officials said.
According to the Chief Engineer, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL), power supply from the 33 kV Amargarh-Nowpora line to receiving stations at Nowpora, Seelo, Achabal, Behrampora, Bomai and Bugoo will remain affected from 8 am to 2 pm on August 24.
As a result, power supply in Nowpora, Seelo, Achabal, Behrampora, Bomai, Bugoo and adjoining areas will remain affected during the shutdown period.
The shutdown has been necessitated to facilitate the execution of RDSS works, the KPDCL said.
