A day after DIG North Kashmir claimed that JKP killed three militants in North Kashmir’s Hajin town, locals Friday morning started protests demanding bodies of the deceased.

Reports and witnesses said that the police used force to quell the protesting people in the area. They were demanding the bodies.

Notably, forces launched cordon and search operation early Thursday in Khos Mohalla area claiming that suspected militants were hiding in the area. A residential house was razed to ground when forces personnel blasted an IED inside in it. Later in the evening, DIG North Kashmir, Gareeb Das reportedly had said that three unidentified militants were killed and their weaponry recovered.

Early Friday cops used tear gas canisters to stop the protesting people who marched towards the Hajin town seeking the bodies of the trio suspected militants.

Reports claimed that four-day mourning is being observed for the deceased in the town.
