One more civilian was killed in clashes with the government forces near the site of a gunfight on Saturday in Kharpora Sirnoo village of Pulwama district in south Kashmir.

Reports said that another youth identified as Abid Hussain Lone of Kareemabad was injured after forces fired pellets, bullets and tear gas to chase away protesters near the gunfight site.

He was shifted to nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

They said at least thirteen youths suffered injuries most of them with pellets during clashes that erupted soon after the gunfight.

Earlier, three militants were killed and two army men wounded in the gunfight while thirteen civilians suffered injuries in the clashes that erupted near the site of the gunfight in Kharpora Sirnoo.

On today early morning, a joint team of army’s 55RR, SOG and 182/183 BN CRPF launched a cordon-and-search operation at in Kharpora Sirnoo, which resulted into the encounter.

When reports last came in the search operation amid clashes between the protesters and government forces were going on.
