A civilian who was hit by a bullet in his abdomen on Sunday in Kakpora area of Pulwama has been shifted to Surgical ICU at SMHS hospital.

Speaking to Kashmir Life, Medical Superintendent SMHS hospital, Dr Nazir Choudhary said, “Ghulam Mohi Ud Din, a civilian from Kakpora in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, has been injured critically who has been now shifted to Surgical ICU.” An emergency surgery was done in his abdomen, he said.

Further the MS said, “we received 13 injured persons from Pulwama district.”

Meanwhile, a boy, who has been identified as Uzair Farooq Bhat from Anchidora Islamabad, has been beaten up by CRPF personnel, resulting in multiple bone fractures to him.

The boy is being treated in District hospital Islamabad, and has under-went surgery in one of his feet.

He is a 12th class student. Witnesses said that he was allegedly dragged from coaching centre building by CRPF personnel after stone pelting incidents in the area.
