Pulwama town shuts against use of ‘force’

Pulwama town in southern part of Kashmir is observing a complete shutdown on Friday to protest the use of force on protesters during clashes on Thursday.

Paramilitary CRPF personnel on Thursday late afternoon opened fire to disperse the protesters. A bullet hit youth during the clashes.  Identified as Ubaid Ahmad, the youth was hit in his left leg.

All shops and other business establishments are closed in the town while public transport is off the roads.
