While government has announced order to all schools up to eighth standard to remain closed for winter break, some private schools continue to remain functional even in this extreme chill creating lot of inconvenience to students and their parents.

A delegation of parents on Monday came to KNS office and complained that instead of   following the government order to close down schools in wake of chilly weather, the private schools continue to remain open.

“Our children are attending school in this cold continuously and due to which they have , have fallen ill as they have to leave home early in the morning,” A parent whose child is studying in Delhi Public school Budgam argued.

When contacted Director School Education, said, “We have not received any complaint from any parent till now. If we receive complaint against any school keeping the classes open up to eighth standard, despite announcement of winter break, we will take stringent action,” the Director told KNS. “Those whose kids are still made to attend schools, should bring the complaint in my notice and I will take immediate action against the offending school authorities,” he added.
