Awami Ittihaad Party (AIP) chief and MLA Langate Er Rasheed Saturday dared Ms Mehbooba Mufti to tell same things to masses about her alliance with BJP what she has agreed in “confidential deal” with BJP and RSS leaders.
Addressing a series of public meetings at Kamad, Bundiyalgam, Krangsoo, Muniwar and other places today, Er Rasheed appealed people to vote for AIP candidate Adv Mujeeb-ur-Rehman.
“Kashmiris should make difference between their friends and foes,” he told the voters.
Rasheed reminded voters of Islamabad that “it was late Dr Qazi Nissar who defied then Governor and BJP’s right hand man Jagmohan’s orders to ban slaughtering of animals on a particular day”.
“Not only that Qazi Nissar sent a hard message to New Delhi warning it of dire consequences for its interference in religious matters, but it was the turning point of Kashmir politics. Now three centuries later, the same party has sought ban on beef and also raised other controversial issues, thus causing a great threat to the rights of majority community. It is for people of Islamabad to decide that they prove unanimity in their words,” he said.
“Why don’t Ms Mehbooba Mufti and her mouth pieces talk about self-rule, double currency and holding talks with militants? In fact, the party has never been sincere with Kashmiris from the day one of its coming into existence. It has given police and intelligence agencies a free hand to terrorise Kashmiris and has compromised the self-respect of Kashmiri nation in the same way NC leadership has been doing right from 1947,” Rasheed said.
Carrying out serious attacks on Congress, Rasheed said that it is Congress which has failed in all its commitments with Kashmiris and has never hesitated in confessing its role to break Pakistan into two pieces.
He added, “unless people of Kashmir will not become a change themselves, the current white elephants will continue to loot them.”
