A meeting of the Committee on Ethics (EC) of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was held here Friday under the chairmanship of Independent MLA, Er Abdul Rashid on the behalf of its chairman, Choudhary Qamar Hussain to discuss various issues related to the ethics.
“The Committee discussed its previous reports and various issues related to ethics besides Code of conduct for Members of the House,” an official statement said this evening.
The Committee sought Action Taken Report (ATR) of previous Committee’s recommendations in respect of enhancement of Assembly Session from the Law and Parliamentary Affairs Department, it said.
The Members of the Committee put forth their suggestions for bringing efficiency in transacting the business of the House.
Legislators Zahoor Ahmed Mir, Mushtaq Ahmed Shah, Ishfaq Ahmed Sheikh, Jeevan Lal, Dr Krishan Lal and Syed Farooq Andrabi attended the meeting, it added.
