SRINAGAR: Security forces have recovered the remains of a Pakistani militant affiliated with the proscribed Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) outfit in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, Police said on Saturday.

The militant had earlier been neutralised during a joint operation, according to the police.
The recovery operation involved the Special Operations Group (SOG) Doda, Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
In a post on X, JK Police said the forces had retrieved the remains of the militant and also recovered an M4 rifle.
Police described the operation as a joint effort and said the recovery was made subsequently.
Further details regarding the earlier operation and the identity of the militant were not immediately available.
