Udhampur District Administration Friday said that a total of Rs 13.30 lakh relief would be given to the next of kin of those killed and injured in the bus accident earlier at Keya in Ramnagar area.
“On the instructions of Chief Secretary B R Sharma and Divisional Commissioner Pawan Kotwal, Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur released a relief amount of Rs 1.00 Lakh to the next of kin (NoK) of 11 passengers who died in the accident, Rs 25,000 each to two critically injured and Rs 10, 000 each to 18 injured,” said an official hand out.
A team of six senior officers has been deputed to attend the families of those died in the accident and provide them relief in this hour of sorrow and grief, reports said.
Eleven people died while twenty others were injured when a bus on way to Basantgarh from Udhampur met with an accident earlier today.
