Amidst noise about the security of panches and sarpanches after the reported threat from Syed Salahudin, the Jiahad Council has come out with a clarification of the statement of its Chairman regarding the “threat”.

Describing the United Jahad Council (UJC) Chairman, Syed Sallahudin as the custodian of the ongoing movement, UJC spokesperson Saleem Hashmi said that a section of media has distorted the statement of Salahudin regarding Panchayat issue by misinterpreting it.

“Sallahdin would explain his statement on a proper time,” Hashmi said in a statement.

Hashmi said that pro- India political parties, who call the statement of Sallahudin as unrealistic, are in fact trying to cover their own “crimes and criminal character”.

“It is true that the Panchayats are the non political institutions,” said Hashmi, he added, “but during election times India declared that these elections have nothing to do with the resolution of Kashmir issue but after elections India is claiming them to be an alternative of plebiscite and right to self determination”, the statement reads.

He said that India is using these elections as a reference to justify its “illegal occupation” of the Kashmir. He added and said that the people who are suggesting forgetting sacrifices are not aware of the reality.

“Our struggle is going on and will continue and the efforts of enemies to weaken the struggle will be defeated by the Mujahideen and freedom loving people”, the statement said.

  1. yes.. U threaten the people and when the kashmiris condemn that, u put ur foot back into ur mouth. I still remember the early 90s when u were drunk with the power of gun and turned the valley into a living hell. You took to gun only after losing the elections. So you are fighting for yourself. Not for kashmiris. Kashmiris are there only to bear the brunt of wrong deeds committed by you and others hypocrites like you who claim to lead the freedom struggle from their palacial houses in kashmir
