Describing the Samba attack as the biggest security lapse, Minister for Medical Education Taj Mohi-u-Din Friday said that it was our over confidence which cost us heavily.
On the sidelines of a function, Taj said that Security Agencies are concentrating on Kashmir only and little attention is paid towards Jammu. “I can say our over confidence ruined us. We were over confident that militants could never strike in Jammu but the result is before us. It would be better if we concentrate on Jammu as well and beef up security there,” he said.
When asked who was behind the twin attacks,Taj Mohi-u-Din said that it was the handiwork of vested interest elements.
“Vested interest elements don’t want peace to prevail between India and Pakistan. There is Pakistan’s ISI and even in our country there are certain agencies who want to derail the peace process between the two countries,” he said.
Meanwhile, National Conference senior leader Ali Muhammad Sagar while condemning the attack said that even Pakistan Government condemned it and we should welcome their statement.
“It is high time we defeat the designs of vested interests and go ahead with talks,” Sagar said adding the BJP is playing politics over the issue.
