SRINAGAR: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday appointed Sanjeev Verma, IAS (AGMUT:2001), as the new Chief Electoral Officer of the Union Territory.
An order issued in this regard reads, “In pursuance of Notification No. 154/J&K/2025-P.Admn dated 29.05.2025, issued by the Election Commission of India, Mr Sanjeev Verma, IAS (AGMUT:2001), is appointed as Chief Electoral Officer, Jammu and Kashmir.”
“Mr Sanjeev Verma, IAS, shall also be Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Election Department.” (JKNS)
