Around 65 workers of Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) and Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) from Kuchal area of Mugalmaidan have joined the Congress party in Kishtwar district in the presence of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Vice President and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori.

While interacted with the newly joined workers into the party at his residence Kishtwar, Saroori blamed PDP and BJP for failing people of Chenab Valley on all counts for the sake of power, have cautioned people of the opportunist and politics of exploitation by PDP and BJP being played in the area.

Saroori urged the people not to get exploited and misled on false promises and tall claims on the part of PDP and BJP. He cautioned people of politics of exploitation in order to remain to enjoy the power, but at the same time, he expressed confidence that now people have realized that both the PDP and BJP have completely failed in all respect since past three years and won’t come under false promises and tall claims made, from time to time by these party (PDP and BJP).

He expressed confidence that people will never trust PDP party again, which has surrendered it’s so called ideology to BJP RSS to make an entry into Power Corridors, even it compromised on urges and aspirations of the people by facilitating communal and fascist forces in the State. He told the gatherings that how many people were blinded, maimed and injured for no fault of theirs, even those children who were sitting in their homes, were blinded during the unrest in Kashmir, all because of wrong policies of the present dispensation.

Saroori said Congress has always stood for the principled politics for the welfare and good of the people of Jammu & Kashmir and shall continue to strive to uphold the rich traditions set by the stalwarts who founded the Congress party. He said the party (Congress) and its cadres will politically fight the gimmickry of the Narender Modi and Mehbooba Mufti and their cohorts who are indulging in malicious, dubious, divisive politics and defeat them in their design in the interest of the people of Jammu & Kashmir. He said that the holistic progress of backward areas looms large on the development policy of his adding that he has and will ensure equitable development of all areas of Inderwal constituency. He said that linking up of far-flung, remote and unconnected areas by new roads and bridges has been flagged as one of his most important priorities and during the last fifteen years as MLA path breaking initiatives have been taken to empower the common man.

State Congress Vice President welcomed the PDP and BJP workers into the party fold and said, “Congress will give due honour to each worker”. With the joining of the PDP and BJP workers, the Congress will strengthen its base at the grassroots level in the area. He asked them to serve the people and spread the programmes and policies of the Congress party.

Describing the joining of PDP and BJP workers in to the Congress as a ‘major jolt’, newly joined workers said that they were motivated by the people-friendly policies of the MLA Inderwal. They further said they will leave no stone unturned to contribute with utmost sincerity and dedication to strengthen the hands of G. M Saroori in Kuchal area.

Prominent among those who have joined including Ghulam Nabi Ganaie, Ghulam Rasool, Gulzar Ahmed, Mahamdu Ganaie, Mohd Ashraf, Mohd Anwar, Ahad Ganaie, Mohd Shabaan, Abdul Rashid, Ghulam Hussain, Mohd Sikander, Abdul Gani, Javed Ahmed, Mohd Iqbal, Muzaffar Hussain, Sanaullah Ganaie, Khursheed Ahmed, Aashiq Hussain, Yasir Hussain, Abdul Rasheed Butt, Ghulam Qadir, Mohd Shafi, Noor Hussain, Ghulam Mohd Butt, Ghulam Ali, Nazir Ahmed, Ashiq Butt, Shabir Raina, Mohd Rafique, Aijaz Ahmed Raina, Ghulam Hussain Raina, Mohd Sikander Raina, Shabir Ahmed, Abdul Qayoom Wani, Mohd Shafi Caupan, Haider Malik, Bashir Ahmed Wani, Irshad Ahmed, Jamsheed Wani, Mushtaq Ahmed and others from Ganaie Mohallah, Butt Pura, Wani Mohallah, Raina Mohalla of Kuchal.
