SRINAGAR: The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has suspended two service-providing companies for failing to fulfil their contractual obligations, particularly regarding the provision of approved accommodation for pilgrims, according to Khaleej Times.

The violations came to light after several pilgrims arriving from Egypt were not provided with their booked lodging, despite these services being explicitly included in the contracts. In coordination with the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism, the ministry has initiated legal action against the foreign agents associated with the two companies.
The ministry acted promptly to secure proper accommodation for all affected pilgrims, ensuring their rights were protected and preventing similar breaches in the future. It emphasised that strict compliance with contractual obligations is mandatory, reflecting its ongoing commitment to improving service standards in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
Authorities warned that negligence or breaches by Umrah companies will not be tolerated, underscoring that pilgrim welfare and service quality remain non-negotiable.
