All seven SC-reserved seats of Jammu and Kashmir are clinched by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in recently concluded assembly polls. They won 29 seats out of 43 from Jammu province.

Sham Lal Basson, State President, All JK Dalit Chetan Manch said that it’s very disturbing for the entire SC community that none of its members are eligible to be inducted as ministers in the new government.

He said all seven reserved seats went in the kitty of the BJP, which is likely to sit in opposition.
