To the relief of hundreds and students, Jammu and Kashmir Professional Entrance Examinations, 2013 have been cancelled and the authorities have decided to conduct fresh examination, dates for which will be notified separately.

BOPEE sources told Kashmir Life that the entrance examination of Physics and Mathematics papers which was held on June 22,23,2013 stands cancelled herewith.

They added that the Entrance Test for Biology and Chemistry papers scheduled to be held on 5th of July, 2013 also stands postponed.

According to notification of BOPEE, the fresh dates for the conduct of entrance test for all the four papers will be notified separately.

Pertinently, the students had smelled fishy on the very first day of the said test on June 22, and after the serious allegations the authorities had cancelled the exam of two papers. Sources told Kashmir Life that the allegations were so serious that after consultations of many days, the authorities decided on Friday to re-exam.

The re-examination has come as a huge relief to hundreds of students from south Kashmir who missed most of the time due to a messy traffic jam between Pandrethan and Sonawar on the examination day.

Sources said that after hue and cry over the traffic mess on the particular day, police had investigated the issue only to find that it was a BSF convoy from Zewan that had clogged the road. They added that at one point of time, police had decided to formally lodge an FIR against the particular compsan of BSF but it was not done after the top BSF Officers tendered unqualified apology.
